Authorities arrested four drug suspects and seized P3.4 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation Friday evening in Rodriguez, Rizal.
The suspects were identified as Jojie Santos, alias Jojie, 30, and Mary Grace Sta. Lucia, alias Chacha, 20, both residents of Rodriguez; Jounsp Delos Reyes, alias JP, 39, of Baras; and Derry Gaan, alias Dondon, 36, of San Mateo.
The suspects were apprehended in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by the drug enforcement team of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station at Block 3, Lot 18, Doña Maxima Subdivision, Barangay Geronimo, Rodriguez at about 7 p.m.
Confiscated during the operation were approximately 500 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P3.4 million. The drugs were found in five heat-sealed sachets and five knot-tied plastic cellophanes.
Also recovered were P2,000 in marked buy-bust money, P10 in boodle money, P3,000 in cash, a sling bag, and a digital weighing scale.
The suspects are now detained at the Rodriguez police custodial facility and will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
