  • Two years after warming hearts in Makati with its soulful Asian comfort food, Aurora expands with a new chapter. Bistro Aurora officially opened its doors on 28 May 2025 at The Podium Mall in Ortigas Center, offering diners a fresh yet familiar experience.

Originally launched as a heartfelt tribute to his mother, Atty. Nilo Divina’s first Aurora restaurant was never meant to be the start of a chain. But what began as a deeply personal passion project has grown into something larger — rooted in love, now shared with more people.

Designed to reflect that same warmth, Bistro Aurora offers a more laid-back and inviting atmosphere. Guests will find beloved Aurora classics alongside exclusive new dishes, all prepared with the same meticulous care that earned the flagship location accolades such as Tatler Dining’s Best New Restaurant for 2024 and a spot on the Tatler Dining 20 list.

To celebrate the Ortigas opening, Bistro Aurora hosted a meaningful two-part event. The morning ribbon-cutting ceremony and blessing was graced by Councilor Charisse Marie Abalos-Vargas, Fr. Richard G. Ang, O.P., and Fr. Paul J. Marquez, SSP, joined by Atty. Divina and his family. In the evening, the space came alive with music and laughter during a cocktail reception attended by friends and colleagues. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails and lively conversations that spilled out into the Al Fresco area.

When asked if he had any hesitation about expanding Aurora, Atty. Divina shared: “This passion of mine cannot be quenched. That’s why we have a second branch – and hopefully a third, and four more branches – so that our customers, our friends, would feel the same way I felt when my mom prepared my first and subsequent dishes – that this was made out of love.”

Bistro Aurora is now open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM on the 6th floor of The Podium Social in Ortigas Center.
