Three most wanted persons surrendered to authorities on Sunday morning at the Police Community Precinct 2, Antipolo Component City Police Station in Sitio Langhaya, Barangay Dela Paz, Antipolo City.
The most wanted individuals who surrendered to the police were identified as alias Rojom, alias Jojo, and alias Tony.
The surrender is the result of an intensified manhunt operation under Manhunt Charlie and Oplan Galugad using the "pabili nga po" scheme of the Antipolo Component City Police Station.
The said warrant was issued in connection with the frustrated homicide that happened on 11 July 2024.
The victim, identified as alias Jelo, 45, a construction worker, was brutally beaten and stabbed by a group of suspects allegedly due to a dispute over missing gamefowls (cockerels).
Based on CCTV footage, the victim was forcibly taken to the area by several suspects riding a tricycle and was turned over to one of the suspects who confronted the victim. This is where the heated argument began, which resulted in beating and stabbing.
Due to the severity of the injury, the victim was brought to the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center in Marikina City, where he later died while undergoing medical treatment.
The three suspects are now detained at the custodial facility of the Antipolo Component City Police Station while the copy of the warrant will be returned to the issuing court.
A manhunt operation is still ongoing for the arrest of other suspects who remain at large.
