The newest chapter in New Line Cinema’s bloody, successful franchise, Final Destination, takes audiences back to the very beginning of Death’s twisted sense of justice.
The film stars part-Filipino actors Kaitlyn Santa Juana and Teo Briones, whose characters try to avoid the violent recurring nightmare.
Santa Juana, a Filipino-Canadian actress, describes her character, Stefanie, as “a brainiac college student, very studious, top of her class. But she’s been suffering from nightmares that prevent her from reaching her full potential. And then she becomes like an action hero girl.”
Playing her brother Charlie is Filipino-American Briones, a huge franchise fan.
“Final Destination 3 is one of my favorite horror movies of all time,” he said.
Devon Sawa, the star of the first movie, played Briones’ father in the first season of the Chucky TV series.
Final Destination Bloodlines is now showing in cinemas nationwide.
