A 27-year-old call center agent was arrested for alleged possession of an unlicensed firearm in Barangay Pineda, Pasig City, on Friday afternoon.
The suspect, identified only as alias Santino, was apprehended by police at his residence on Everlasting Street, Barangay Pineda, by virtue of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Achilles A.A.C. Bulauitan.
Recovered from the suspect was a rusty silver and black .38-caliber revolver with three live rounds, along with a sling bag. Police documented the recovered evidence on-site in the presence of a barangay official and members of the media.
Authorities said Santino has a prior arrest dated 27 May 2018, for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The suspect and the recovered evidence were brought to the Pasig City Police Station for further investigation and the filing of appropriate charges.
