The activity hall of SM City Bacolod lit up with hope as participants came together for awareness, understanding and acceptance.
Over 10,000 Filipinos from all walks of life gathered in SM malls across the Philippines to take part in community-led ASP Angels Walk for Autism — a heartfelt expression of solidarity with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Families, advocates, educators and allies filled the activity halls of SM City Lipa, SM City Lucena, SM City Iloilo, SM City Tuguegarao, SM City Davao, SM City Butuan, SM City Baguio, SM City Bacolod and SM Seaside Cebu, joined by a meaningful extension in Malaybalay, where local champions organized their own inclusive celebration. These events are part of a month-long national movement that uplifts the voices, strengths and potential of the autism community.
All roads now lead to the culminating ASP Angels Walk for Autism on 18 May, at 7 a.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Expected to be the largest community gathering for autism inclusion in the country, this milestone event will bring together thousands more for a morning of unity, celebration and hope.
Organized by the Autism Society Philippines and proudly supported by SM Cares, the ASP Angels Walk for Autism continues to grow into a nationwide call for acceptance, accommodation and appreciation. Each walk, each voice, each participant is a reminder that acceptance begins with community.
