Authorities reported that two men on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a health spa in Quezon City on Thursday afternoon.

Initial reports disclosed that the explosion at the White House Health Spa along Scout Chuatoco in Barangay Obrero ignited a small fire after it landed near a generator set.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), while no one was injured, the blast damaged two motorcycles parked inside the spa compound, which is enclosed and not visible from outside.

Police are reviewing security camera footage in the area to identify and apprehend the suspects and determine the motive behind the attack.

The QCPD initially received a call for assistance through the QC Helpline 122 reporting a fire at around 1:50 p.m. Thursday.

The Bureau of Fire Protection and the police Explosives and Ordnance Division team responded and declared the scene safe by approximately 3:16 p.m.
