Rising P-pop group 1621's single "Bababa" is going viral and has now landed on the Spotify Philippines Viral Songs Chart.
The pop track from their latest EP Sapulso earned over 300,000 streams and continues to rise on the chart, peaking at No. 26.
Various celebrities have joined its dance trend, including AC Bonifacio, BGYO, PBB Gen 11’s Kolette Madelo, Jas Scales, Rain Celmar, and SB19.

“Dito po talaga namin na-receive ‘yung reaction ng supporters from social media platforms na ‘bagay sa kanila mga ganitong songs. Ito ‘yung song na nagsu-suit talaga sa kanila.’ So doon po namin na-realize na ‘ah oo nga naman, ‘yun talaga ‘yung song namin kasi pag-pinerform po namin para mas confident, comfortable kami,” member JM said in an interview with Push.
“Bababa” is also featured in numerous editorial playlists, such as Spotify’s OPM Rising, P-Pop On The Rise, Viral Hits PH, and New Music Friday PH.
1621 performed the song at the Pinoy Media Congress 2025, organized by ABS-CBN and PACE at the University of Makati. Early this year, they performed a medley of their songs at the PBA Finals Game’s halftime show and in the first leg of the BINIverse World Tour 2025 pre-show held at the Philippine Arena.
