The Philippines will field familiar faces in the upcoming IESF World Esports Championship after Team Falcons defeated Team Liquid PH in the final of Sibol men's national team selection this Wednesday.

Team Falcons PH, composed of M5 world champion players Pheww, Flap, Super Marco, Owgwen, and KyleTzy, was on the verge of defeat after absorbing two straight losses in the final.

The former AP Bren players and the Philippines' 2024 IESF world champion, however, refused to go down in flames and banned Jaypee's problematic Jawhead in Games 3 and 4.

With momentum on their side, Team Falcons PH secured the win by winning three straight games en route to a 3-2 reverse sweep in the best-of-five series.

The victory means Pheww, Flap, Super Marco, Owgwen, and KyleTzy will get to represent the country's Mobile Legends national team for two straight years.
