Pampanga's political leaders, led by Governor Dennis "Delta" Pineda and Vice Governor Lilia "Nanay Baby" Pineda, rallied Wednesday behind President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.'s 11 senatorial candidates under the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas coalition.

Thousands of residents and local officials, including mayors, board members, and barangay leaders, filled four venues in Angeles City and San Fernando to show their support.

"We are here today to welcome Alyansa," Gov. Pineda said in Kapampangan at one venue. "It means a lot for us Kapampangans to show that we know how to welcome the administration’s candidates."

He added that their support could lead to future benefits for the province through projects brought by the candidates.

The Alyansa ticket includes former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senators Ramon Bong Revilla, Pia Cayetano, Lito Lapid and Francis Tolentino; former Senators Panfilo Lacson, Manny Pacquiao and Vicente Sotto III; ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

Alyansa campaign manager Navotas Representative Toby Tiangco said the turnout reflected the coalition's growing momentum.

"This is a strong show of support. Kapampangans turned out in large numbers, and the energy on the ground was truly encouraging," Tiangco said.

The rallies were held at the Lapid Arena Sports Complex in Angeles City and the Laus Events Center, Kingsborough International Convention Center, and Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center in San Fernando.

Lapid, a native of Porac and former Pampanga governor, received a particularly warm welcome.

Pampanga has 1.67 million registered voters, and nearly 87% of them voted in the 2022 elections, making it a key political battleground.

"Alyansa is ready to fight for every vote and win alongside the Filipino people," Tiangco said. "This is not just about winning seats, it’s about building a Senate that delivers."
