BYD Cars Philippines, the local distributor of BYD vehicles under ACMobility, began 2025 with the opening of nine new dealerships across the country. The brand now has 29 operational dealerships nationwide and plans to reach a total of 77 by the end of the year.

The latest expansion covers Metro Manila, Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao. Three more locations have already broken ground in the first two months of the year, as BYD aims to widen access to its electric vehicle lineup.

“We are excited to see the continued growth of BYD in the Philippines as it expands its presence across the nation,” Bob Palanca, managing director of BYD Cars Philippines, said. “Both ACMobility and BYD are committed to empowering Filipinos by providing access to innovative transportation solutions that support a sustainable, forward-thinking future.”

Six of the newly opened dealerships are located in Metro Manila and Southern Luzon. Among these is BYD Manila Bay, the country’s largest BYD showroom and service center. Managed by Iconic Dealership Inc., the 3,000-sqm facility in Aseana City has two floors with space for 18 vehicles, 11 service work bays, and 10 chargers — eight AC and two DC fast chargers — for customer and public use.

In Batangas, Harmony Auto Philippines opened a new dealership in Batangas City, following its launches of BYD Commonwealth and BYD Fairview earlier in January. The Batangas facility, the fourth by Harmony Auto after its Global City branch, created over 60 new jobs in the area.

BYD also launched its first dealership in Binondo with BYD Chinatown. Located in the heart of Manila’s historic business district, the site can display seven vehicles and includes 10 service bays, two AC chargers, and one DC fast charger.

In Alabang, the new dealership at One Prime Tower spans nearly 1,812 sqm over two floors. It includes display space for eight cars and five service bays for sales and after-sales operations.

Outside Luzon, BYD Iloilo opened under Central EV Incorporated, becoming the first electric vehicle dealership in the city. It features nine display spaces, six service bays, a 150 kW DC fast charger, and 22 kW AC chargers.

Earlier, VCY Mobility Ventures opened BYD Negros in Talisay City. The 4,000-sqm dealership offers nine service bays, a solar power setup, and full maintenance and charging services.

In Mindanao, BYD Cagayan de Oro began operations at KM3, Kauswagan National Highway. The dealership, managed by Magnet Motors Corporation, includes six service bays and an in-house café for customers.

In February, BYD broke ground on three more dealerships in Baliwag, Carmona, and Dasmariñas. The Dasmariñas branch will offer three AC chargers and one DC fast charger.

At the end of 2024, BYD held a groundbreaking event for its upcoming dealership in Nueva Ecija. It also marked the beginning of a partnership with SEAelectric Philippines Inc., a SEAOIL affiliate, during a groundbreaking in La Union. The collaboration is expected to introduce electric vehicles to more areas in northern Luzon.

“These new dealerships allow us to bring the BYD brand closer to more Filipinos nationwide,” Palanca said. “This expansion allows us to showcase our innovative electric and hybrid vehicles to more regions, offering customers nationwide more opportunities to switch to electrified mobility.”

The expansion follows a series of awards BYD received at the start of 2025. The brand and its vehicles were recognized by Philippine motoring media.

“BYD has made significant strides in the local market,” Aiffy Liu, country head of BYD Philippines, said. “Our recognition from Philippine media highlights our commitment to innovation and sustainable energy, reflecting Filipinos’ trust in us as a reliable, forward-thinking brand.”

BYD Cars Philippines continues to push its goal of making electric vehicles more accessible across the country, as it builds toward a greener future in transportation.
