Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo lauded the hard work and dedication of court employees, praising their commitment to upholding high standards in the delivery of justice.

“The service of justice does not rest solely with the judges. It also rests with our court employees. You are the ones who interact directly with the public, and from you, our people expect nothing less than prompt and appropriate response to their concerns,” Gesmundo said during the inauguration of the 6th Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) in Pozorrubio-Sison, Pangasinan.

The new courthouse, located on the third floor of the Pozorrubio Community Building in Barangay Cablong, includes a courtroom, judge’s chambers, staff room and evidence room.

Gesmundo emphasized the vital role court employees play in the success of the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations 2022–2027.

He also underscored the need to strengthen the judiciary’s systems and resources to ensure more effective and efficient public service, especially as courts adapt to rapid technological advancements.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Jose Midas P. Marquez expressed gratitude to the MCTC and the local governments of Pozorrubio and Sison for making the courthouse a reality.

Presiding Judge Trinidad T. Abad-Ferrer of the 6th MCTC called the new courthouse a symbol of the judiciary’s commitment to swift and responsive justice.

During the event, Atty. Raquel M. Ladrillano, chief of the Office of the Halls of Justice under the Office of the Court Administrator, signed the Deed of Usufruct on behalf of the Supreme Court, together with Pozorrubio Mayor Kelvin T. Chan.
