Nissan marked its 55th year in the Philippines with a nostalgic showcase at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), which wrapped up yesterday. With the event’s theme of “Driven by Connection,” Nissan stood out among more than 20 participating car brands by leaning into its heritage — and mixing in a bit of flair.

The brand opened its presentation with a video from Ken Lee, Nissan’s senior design director. He shared the design story behind the Patrol, Terra and Navara, explaining how the team blends legacy and innovation to create vehicles that feel both familiar and forward-looking. Brand ambassador Matteo Guidicelli later took the stage to guide guests through Nissan’s display.

At the center of the booth was the All-New Patrol — recently introduced to the Philippine market — shown off in a specially accessorized version. It was hard to miss. Designed for buyers who want to elevate the already bold SUV, it delivered a mix of luxury, performance and tech that felt right at home on the MIAS floor.

Nissan also brought out 55th Anniversary Editions of the Terra and Navara. These weren’t just standard variants with a badge slapped on — they came with beefier wheels, throwback-style side decals and subtle anniversary logos that gave off an old-school charm while keeping their rugged credentials intact.

Outside the main hall, visitors were welcomed by two familiar silhouettes: the Nissan Z NISMO and the classic Fairlady Z. The pairing struck a nice balance between nostalgia and performance. Test drives were also open to the public, giving guests the chance to get behind the wheel of the Patrol, Z, Terra, Navara, and other models.

“This year’s MIAS gave us a great moment to look back and reflect on our journey in the Philippines,” said Nissan Philippines. “Through the Patrol, Terra, and Navara, we wanted to honor the vehicles that have become part of Filipino lives over the years, while continuing to build that connection moving forward.”
