

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija — Two suspects wanted for rape were arrested on Tuesday in the towns of Bongabon and San Isidro here.
According to Police Col. Ferdinand D. Germino, Provincial director of Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office (NEPPO), personnel from Bongabon Police Station conducted an operation in Barangay Palomaria, Bongabon, that led to the arrest of an 18-year-old accused, ranked Top 1 Most Wanted in Bongabon.
He was apprehended by virtue of a warrant for two counts of Rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 1 (D) of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by RA 8353 and 11648, issued by the Third Judicial Region, Branch 7, Palayan City.
No bail was recommended for the accused, who is now in custody pending further legal proceedings.
Earlier that day, joint operatives from San Isidro Police Station and the 303rd MC RMFB3 conducted a police operation in Barangay San Roque, San Isidro, Nueva Ecija.
This resulted in the arrest of a 56-year-old man, ranked Top 10 Most Wanted in San Isidro. The arrest was made based on a warrant for Rape under Article 266-A, Paragraph 2 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by RA 8353 in relation to RA 7610, issued by RTC, Branch 36, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija. A bail of P200,000 was set for his temporary release.
“Our priority remains the safety of the community, and we will not tolerate violence, especially sexual crimes, in our province. We are committed to creating a safer environment for everyone and holding offenders accountable for their actions,” Director Germino said.
