Two drug personalities were arrested in Caloocan City last Monday after selling illegal drugs to police poseur buyers.

The suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation along Taksay Street in Barangay 28 that afternoon.

According to Police Lieutenant Restie Mables, head of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Caloocan City Police, the suspects were identified as alias “Ferdinand,” a 42-year-old vendor, and alias “Ronald,” a 43-year-old ceiling installer.

Police operatives recovered at least 250 grams of suspected shabu, with a street value of P1.7 million.

Mables said the two suspects had traveled from Antipolo City to Caloocan City to drop off their supply of illegal drugs.

“Our asset was able to purchase illegal drugs from them before, which led to the buy-bust operation,” the police said.

Of the recovered drugs, 25 grams were the subject of the buy-bust, while 100 grams were found with Ferdinand and the remaining 125 grams with Ronald.

“The suspects were silent about their source; however, they said the illegal drugs were being dropped off in their area through a courier service.”

Both Ferdinand and Ronald are considered high-value individuals and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
