As expected, unbeaten Filipino Charly Suarez is the underdog in his world super-featherweight title showdown with Emanuel “Vaquero” Navarrete of Mexico on 10 May in San Diego, California.

Oddsmakers have installed Suarez as +350 and Navarrete -450.

Based on these figures, a mere $100 wager on a Suarez victory wins $350 while a $450 bet for Navarrete wins just $100.

Still, not everyone thinks Suarez is a super long shot to emerge victorious against the ultra-aggressive and hard-hitting Navarrete, who has beaten four Filipinos in racking up a 39-2 win-loss card with 32 knockouts.

Holding an 18-0 ledger with 10 knockouts, Suarez boasts of ring savvy, timing and durability, traits the Davao del Sur fighter will badly need for him to score a huge upset at the Pechanga Arena.

Presently, Suarez is training in Tagaytay City with lead cornerman Delfin Boholst as they await their departure for the United States on 10th or 12th of April.

In his previous fight last September, the 36-year-old Suarez easily stopped Mexican-American Jorge Castaneda in Arizona.
