Delfin Boholst, who manages and train Charly Suarez, voiced his concern over the treatment the Filipino world No. 1 super-featherweight has gotten from the bigwigs of boxing.

“Official orders are not being followed,” Boholst told DAILY TRIBUNE, referring to the World Boxing Organization’s installation of Suarez as its mandatory challenger to Mexican Emanuel Navarrete’s 130-pound title.

“It’s difficult if you are up against a big-time promoter,” Boholst said, pointing to Navarrete being under Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc.

Suarez assumed the status as the WBO’s mandatory challenger in July last year but the promised title shot — a rematch with Navarrete — remains up in the air.

Instead of challenging Navarrete, Suarez has been passed over twice.

Last February, Navarrete was allowed to engage in a unification fight against then-International Boxing Federation ruler Eduardo Nunez of Mexico.

Adding insult to injury was the decision by the WBO to grant Navarrete another unification bout — his second straight — against World Boxing Council titlist O’Shaquie Foster next month.

As a consolation, the WBO ruled that the winner of the Navarrete vs Foster will have to face Suarez within 180 days.

“I feel bad because Charly’s not getting any younger,” added Boholst.

Though undefeated with an 18-0-0 record with 10 knockouts, Suarez is already 38 and in the event he gets his much-awaited title chance in April 2027, he would be four months from turning 39.

Meanwhile, Boholst is leaving it all up to their Las Vegas-based promoter Sampson Lewkowicz.

“I am letting Sampson handle this matter,” Boholst added.
