Former President Rodrigo Duterte is urging Filipinos to vote straight for the senatorial slate of the Partido ng Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban), his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte said on Friday.

“He [President Rodrigo Duterte] said to tell you, to tell our fellow citizens, that he needs the help of the PDP Senators and their guest candidates.,” Duterte said.

Rody would have joined sorties

PDP Laban senatoriables include Senator Bong Go, Senator Bato dela Rosa, lawyer Jimmy Bondoc, Atty. JV Hinlo, lawyer Raul Lambino and Philip Salvador, including guest candidates lawyer Rodante Marcoleta, lawyer Vic Rodriguez, pastor Apollo Quiboloy and Dr. Richard Mata.

Duterte said her father plans to join the campaign sorties of the PDP Laban senatorial candidates if he was not forcibly taken to the International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, the Netherlands.

“That’s what he said because they had planned the campaigns before he was taken here. He was forcibly brought to the ICC detention, and they had plans for various rallies for the PDP Laban senators and their guest candidates,” she said.

“And he said that he can no longer campaign, stand on stage in the Philippines, and tell his supporters why we need to vote straight for the ten candidates and no one else. So, he asked to convey to you that he needs help. He needs the support of the PDP Senators and the guest candidates of PDP Laban,” the Vice President added.

The former president also reminded Filipinos to protect our votes from any form of cheating, Duterte said.
