
Muñoz, Nueva Ecija — The Department of Agriculture (DA) marked its 32nd Anniversary at the Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) in Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, on Friday.
The event was led by Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr., who also served as the keynote speaker.
The PCC has been working closely with the DA to promote and protect the carabao, which serves as a primary source of milk, meat, and a farming tool for tilling fields. The PCC is also at the forefront of research and sustainable development within the livestock industry.
In related news, a Kadiwa ng Pangulo market was opened in Campo Alejo, Malolos City, Bulacan, on Thursday.
The event, organized by the Philippine National Police, the Local Government Unit, and the Provincial Agriculture Office of Malolos, in collaboration with the DA, featured local products including fresh vegetables, seafood, rice, chicharon and snacks, all available at affordable prices.
The program aims to support farmers, local entrepreneurs, and consumers by offering products directly from local producers at lower costs.
