The Philippine Air Force (PAF) is set to participate in the next iteration of the largest biennial military exercise between Australia and the United States, with multinational participation — Exercise Talisman Sabre.
PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo said the 11th iteration of the military drills will take place from March 29 to April 5, with around 90 PAF officers and personnel participating as spectators.
“The Philippine Air Force's involvement in Talisman Saber 2025 aligns with the Philippines' defense cooperation agreements with the United States and Australia,” Castillo told reporters.
According to Castillo, the exercises include live drills, amphibious landings, ground force maneuvers, air combat, and maritime operations, creating a thorough training environment for the participating forces.
Exercise Talisman Sabre seeks to advance a free and open Indo-Pacific and is expected to strengthen relationships and interoperability among key allies and enhance collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns.
