Senatorial candidate and Makati Mayor Abby Binay visited Lipa City and Tanauan City in Batangas yesterday, meeting with local officials, employees and residents.

Binay began her visit with a courtesy call on Mayor Eric Africa at the Lipa City Hall, where she was warmly welcomed by employees and given a tour of the premises.

She then proceeded to Tanauan City Hall where she was greeted by local officials, including Mayor Nelson “Sonny” Collantes and Representative Ma. Theresa “Maitet” Collantes.

As Thursday coincided with “People’s Day” at the city hall, Binay had the opportunity to meet with many residents, including senior citizens.

She assured them that, if elected, she would advocate for the nationwide adoption of Makati’s initiatives, particularly the provision of free maintenance medicines for senior citizens to alleviate the financial burden and help them lead healthier, longer lives.

On Wednesday, Binay visited several localities in Quezon province, including Tayabas City, Lucena City, Tiaong and Candelaria. Local officials who welcomed her included Quezon 1st District Representative Mark Enverga, Tayabas Mayor Maria Lourdes “Lovely” Reynoso-Pontioso, Lucena Mayor Mark Don Alcala, Vice Mayor Roderick Alcala and Candelaria Mayor George Suayan.

During her visit, Binay took time to meet with local government employees and residents, sharing her vision for legislative reforms aimed at promoting inclusive and sustainable progress across the country.

Binay invited the people of Calabarzon to join the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas Proclamation Rally today, 21 March, at the Capitol Grounds of Trece Martires City, Cavite, starting at 4 p.m.
