Ronnie Liang: From flight deck to doctorate

Ronnie Liang has added another impressive achievement to his already remarkable resume: A doctorate degree. The singer and pilot recently celebrated the completion of his Ph.D. in Development Administration, with a major in Security Development Administration, from the Philippine Christian University (PCU).

Liang’s journey to this academic milestone was not merely about acquiring another title, but a testament to his unwavering belief in the transformative power of higher education. “My heart is full of gratitude and happiness today,” Liang shared, expressing his profound sense of accomplishment. There were moments of doubt, he admitted, but the desire to inspire others, particularly the younger generation, fueled his determination.

Beyond the academic accolades, Liang’s motivation stems from a deep-seated desire to serve his country. He addressed the frequent inquiries about his political aspirations with a lighthearted, “Yes, for President,” before emphasizing his commitment to service above personal ambition.“My drive extends beyond politics and personal ambition. I focus on service and love — not for myself but for others and our country in whatever capacity I can contribute,” he stated.

“My aspiration is to have a community that supports each other instead of fighting with each other, a country that stands united, not divided, and a world that lives in peace and not at war,” he added.

Liang intends to leverage his education, influence and platform to inspire responsible citizenship and patriotism. He encourages others to pursue their passions, persevere through challenges and complete their endeavors, regardless of their perceived impact.

“Whatever this accomplishment is worth, I want to use my education, influence and voice to inspire others to become more responsible and accountable citizens, more patriotic, more passionate in whatever they do, and finish what they have started, no matter how small the impact may seem to others and regardless of the challenges and naysayers. Take heart! Just keep going!”

With a humble spirit, Liang attributes his success to divine grace. “Maraming salamat po sa inyong lahat. To GOD be all the honor, glory, and praise! I love you, and thank you, Lord!”
