Businesswoman and philanthropist Sarah Discaya vowed on Tuesday to modernize Pasig City if she is elected mayor in May.
“I can’t promise heaven and earth, but I promise a new Pasig — one with decent housing, faster public services and a government that listens to the people,” Discaya wrote in an open letter to Pasigueños.
She emphasized that she would not make promises she could not keep. “What I can promise is hard work, dedication, and genuine care — values that have guided me in running our business, raising our children and helping others.”
Although not a career politician, Discaya said she is committed to bringing about real change: “I’m used to working hard and delivering results.”
Given the chance, Discaya said she plans to build a modern hospital for indigent residents, construct new school buildings, and launch programs that will truly improve the lives of Pasigueños.
“This isn’t just a dream — these are things I can do because this has been my job for many years,” she added.
Having built her business from the ground up, Discaya said she understands the challenges of starting with nothing. “I know how to build a path to success. It’s not easy, but it’s possible with a leader who truly cares, has vision, and can turn plans into reality.”
Discaya promised that if elected she would not let the people of Pasig down. “In May 2025, we’re not just voting for a name — we’re choosing the future. Please join me in this fight,” she said.
