JOLO, Sulu — The 1102nd Infantry (Ganarul) Brigade has deployed the 112th Division Reconnaissance Company (112th DRC) to the island town of Banguingui to safeguard the integrity of the 2025 National and Local Elections.
1102nd Infantry “Ganarul” Brigade Commander Brig. Gen. Alaric Avelino delos Santos said a simple yet significant ceremony was held on Saturday at Allayon Pier, Barangay Tandu Bato.
Under the leadership of 1st Lt. Dexter B. Mamma, the troops were deployed to Banguingui town where they will play a crucial role in ensuring a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
Delos Santos said their presence will reinforce security measures and uphold the sanctity of the elections.
During the send-off ceremony, Delos Santos acknowledged the soldiers’ dedication saying “To the gallant soldiers of the 112DRC, I commend you for your unwavering commitment to this mission. As you embark on this critical task, remember that you are not only securing the election process but also safeguarding the democratic rights of the people.”
He emphasized, “I have full confidence that you will fulfill your duties with honor, professionalism, and integrity. Your mission is a testament to the shared responsibility we all bear in protecting our democracy.”
Delos Santos also believed that “With the trust and confidence of their leaders and the community, the 112th DRC stands ready to carry out their mission with utmost dedication.”
