Nxled wrapped up its Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference campaign with a commanding 25-17, 25-17, 25-18 sweep of Farm Fresh in the play-in tournament on Thursday at the Philsports Arena.

With both teams already eliminated, the Chameleons and the Foxies battled to conclude their season on a winning note.

Nxled, however, proved dominant from start to finish, controlling the pace with solid defense and well-executed attacks.

Krich Macaslang set the tone early with her net defense, igniting a 6-0 start for the Chameleons in the opening set. Lycha Ebon then delivered timely strikes to close out the frame.

The momentum spilled into the second set with Chiara Permentilla leading the charge with dynamic plays to keep the Chameleons in control.

By the third set, Nxled maintained its dominance, sealing the straight-sets victory and finishing strong in Pool B of the play-in tournament.

Nxled’s relentless firepower was on full display, outgunning Farm Fresh in attacks, 16-10. More impressively, the Chameleons maintained consistency, conceding only three free points while capitalizing on the Foxies’ five unforced errors.

Rachel Jorvina emerged as the Player of the Game with 20 excellent digs, while Macaslang and Permentilla contributed nine points each.

Permentilla praised her teammates effort and their willingness to end their campaign on a high note.

“I’m happy that everyone put in the work to get the win today,” said Permentilla, who played college ball at Adamson University.

“This may be our last game this conference, but we wanted to finish with a victory to keep our morale high.”

Jorvina said their impressive win will serve as their stepping stone for the future.

“I think we just played very relaxed. We leaned on each other, and like our coach said, this isn’t the end of the conference, but the beginning of the next one,” the Canada-based setter said.

“We’re confident we can keep up with the other teams – it’s just a matter of time.”

Nxled coach Ettore Guidetti echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of finishing strong.

“I’m really happy about winning again. It’s super important to end on a good note because it sets the tone for what’s ahead,” the Italian mentor stressed.

For Farm Fresh, which missed the services of injured Trisha Tubu, Pierre Abellana carried the scoring cudgels with 10 points built on nine attacks and an ace while veteran Rachel Daquis chipped in nine points.
