Pia Wurtzbach was among the few Filipino celebrities who graced Paris Fashion Week, alongside fashion-forward stars like Max Collins and style icon Heart Evangelista. However, unlike past seasons where she stayed for the entire event, this time, the former Miss Universe had to leave early—something she admitted felt unusual.
In an Instagram post, Pia revealed the real reason behind her sudden departure. With multiple work commitments lined up in different countries within just a week, she simply had no choice but to cut her Paris trip short.
“March is International Women’s Month. This is also crunch time for me with my youth center. I’m a speaker at She Talks Asia, and all of this is happening in just a few days,” she shared. The summit, where she is set to be a keynote speaker, will take place on 15 March.
Adding to her jam-packed schedule, Wurtzbach also had to juggle exclusive fashion events, including a high-priority fitting with Dior in Paris and a whirlwind trip to Rome for a special Bvlgari invitation.
“We’re not used to going home this early. You know that feeling when you’re just getting into the groove, and then suddenly, you have to leave? What happened was, I couldn’t reschedule my Dior fitting because it was already set,” she explained.
Determined to make the most of her opportunities, she flew from Milan to Paris for her fitting, then traveled to Rome and back to Paris—all in a single day.
“I really wanted to go to Rome with Bvlgari, so from Milan, we went to Paris first. After my fitting, I flew to Rome and returned to Paris on the same day. I mean, when do you ever get an invitation that exclusive—so private, so intimate—to the creative director’s office?” she added.
Despite the abrupt exit, Wurtzbach remains excited about her upcoming projects and, more importantly, reuniting with her husband, Jeremy Jauncey.
“I know I’ll feel much better when I see Jeremy. I just need to go home, be with him, give him a hug, and update him on everything. Even though it feels like I’m missing out by not staying the whole week, I’m really trusting the advice I got,” she expressed.
A rising global fashion figure, Wurtzbach was recognized in 2024 as one of the most visible fashion influencers by marketing platform Lefty, joining stars like Jisoo and Rosé of BLACKPINK, Kim Kardashian, Cha Eun-woo, and Kendall Jenner.
She made her Fashion Week debut in Milan and Paris in 2023, further solidifying her reputation as a fashion icon.
Beyond fashion, Wurtzbach has expanded her career as an entrepreneur, host, and author, releasing her debut novel Queen of the Universe in 2023.
