A 35-year-old woman decided to end her life by hanging after having a serious argument with her lesbian partner early Tuesday dawn in Tondo, Manila.

The victim, who, when discovered, was already lifeless, was identified by her mother and siblings as Maila Rusola, who is believed to have committed suicide in her room at 4:30 early morning.

Before the body was discovered inside her room, they heard a sound of breaking bottles while saying “gusto ko ng mamatay” (I want to die).

According to the mother of the victim, she knows that her daughter had frequent fights with her lesbian lover, who is an overseas worker who had just come back last 14 February 2025, in connection with money problems.

The body was brought to the Lorenzo Funeral Home for autopsy.
