Global ride-hailing company inDrive Philippines has partnered with the University of the Philippines-Department of Economics to co-present Rundown 2025: A Senate Elections Forum, an initiative aimed at empowering young voters to make informed decisions in the 2025 midterm elections.

The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing, underscoring both parties' shared commitment to voter education and democratic discourse.

Since its launch in 2013, UP’s Rundown has provided a platform for students and young voters to engage directly with senatorial candidates, fostering discussions on national policies and pressing socio-economic issues.

Rundown 2025 seeks to equip young Filipinos with the knowledge and opportunities to scrutinize candidates' advocacies and policies, reinforcing the role of voter education in a functioning democracy.

By supporting the initiative, inDrive Philippines aligns with its mission to be more than just a mobility service, positioning itself as an advocate for civic engagement and responsible decision-making.

"At inDrive, we believe that empowered communities are built on informed choices. By supporting Rundown 2025, we are championing the voices of the youth, providing them with opportunities to engage directly with future leaders and contribute to the nation’s progress," said Mark Tolley, inDrive Regional Director - APAC.

Commitment to civic engagement

According to John Louie Balagot, Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager of inDrive Philippines, the partnership highlights the company’s commitment to democratic engagement and social impact.

"This partnership demonstrates that our belief in the power of choice extends beyond our services — it influences our advocacy for democratic engagement. As a former student leader, I understand the profound impact that initiatives like Rundown 2025 have in fostering political awareness and civic responsibility among the youth. It is inspiring to witness inDrive’s unwavering support for initiatives that align with our mission for social impact. This is just the beginning of many more collaborations with organizations that share our values.” Balagot said.

As inDrive continues to expand in the Philippines, it remains committed to social responsibility and advocacy for positive change, supporting initiatives that enhance civic participation and voter awareness.
