Japan Coast Guard provides capacity-building support

The Japan Coast Guard conducted a capacity-building program for the Philippine Coast Guard from 10 to 21 February, providing technical guidance on crime scene photography and arrest methods.

The program, part of Japan’s Official Development Assistance, featured training by the Japan Coast Guard’s Mobile Cooperation Team.

The team provided instruction to investigators and leadership candidates, focusing on techniques relevant to field operations. The Japan Coast Guard said it will continue to collaborate with the Philippine Coast Guard to enhance its capabilities.
