Vocal powerhouse Frenchie Dy took to social media to share some uplifting news about her health journey.
The singer, who recently opened up about her third battle with Bell’s Palsy — a condition that causes sudden muscle weakness on one side of the face — gave an update on her progress, revealing that she is showing signs of improvement.
In a Facebook video, Dy’s doctor, Dr. Egay Uyehara, shared encouraging news:
"Good news! Your condition is still improving, so we’ll continue with the treatment." He also noted, "Compared to the other side of your face, there’s noticeable progress this time."
Ending her video on a hopeful note, Dy expressed gratitude for the improvements in her recovery.
"I'm so happy because Doc confirmed that I’m getting better—we’re getting there!" she said.
Based on her latest Facebook updates, Dy is currently undergoing various treatments to help restore her facial nerves, which have been affected by Bell’s Palsy.
This isn’t Dy’ s first experience with facial paralysis. She recalled her first episode, describing it as a Grade 5 case. Initially, her parents mistook it for a simple muscular disorder. Her second attack happened in 2006, just two years after she won Star in a Million in 2004.
Despite the challenges, Dy remains optimistic about her recovery, inspiring fans with her resilience and positive outlook.
