Two minor students were rushed to the hospital after they were allegedly stabbed by fellow minors outside Rizal High School in Pasig City at around 3 p.m. on Thursday.
The two victims—aged 14 and 15—were brought to Child Hope Hospital for treatment. One is now in stable condition, while the other remains under observation after sustaining a stab wound to his chest.
Seven children in conflict with the law are now in police custody, according to the Pasig City Police Station.
An initial investigation revealed that the victims and one of the suspects had a heated altercation outside the school. A physical confrontation ensued after their classes, during which a 14-year-old suspect stabbed one victim in the right chest and the other in the lower back.
The suspect immediately fled the scene, while the wounded victims were rushed to a nearby hospital.
A follow-up operation led to the arrest of the involved minors. Police are now conducting an in-depth investigation into the incident.
Authorities recovered a folding knife, allegedly used in the stabbing.
The Pasig City government condemned the violence, stating, "We are coordinating closely with the Pasig Police and the Schools Division Office of Pasig, as they investigate this matter."
"For the protection of both students, we enjoin everyone to be more circumspect in sharing the videos," it added.
