In response to the alarming rise in dengue cases across the country, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has taken decisive and proactive measures to safeguard the health of both Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and its workforce.
BuCor director general Gregorio Catapang Jr. has expressed his commitment to this initiative by approving the recommendations put forth by Chief Superintendent Ma. Cecilia Villanueva, OIC-deputy director general for Reformation and director for Health and Welfare Services.
Under her guidance, Chiefs of Health Service from various facilities are now tasked with closely monitoring for any signs of dengue, implementing robust preventive actions, and ensuring that any confirmed cases are promptly reported to local authorities.
To streamline response efforts, they have been instructed to report any dengue cases within a 24-hour timeframe to ensure timely tracking and response.
