Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna reminded all regular employees of Manila City Hall to refrain from engaging in partisan politics.

In her message during the regular flag-raising ceremony at the Kartilya ng Katipunan, Lacuna particularly urged city employees, especially those holding permanent positions, to protect their jobs by refraining from political activities.

Lacuna acknowledged that while she is fully aware that everyone has chosen their candidates for the national and local elections, they should remember that campaigning is prohibited.

The mayor also cautioned city employees who may use social media to campaign for their candidates, warning that this could jeopardize their jobs.
