SZA sure knows how to keep the surprises coming!
Just moments ago, American rapper Kendrick Lamar took center stage as the headliner of the Super Bowl Halftime Show — with none other than his frequent collaborator, SZA, by his side, lighting up the stage.
But that’s not the only reason fans are buzzing tonight. The R&B sensation just unleashed a highly anticipated expansion of her sophomore album SOS, reminding us all once again that she’s always got something thrilling up her sleeve.
The latest release, SOS Deluxe: LANA, introduces four brand-new tracks: “Joni” featuring Don Toliver, “Take You Down,” a solo rendition of her Travis Scott collaboration “Open Arms,” and “PSA.”
Despite the album’s long-awaited and multiple-times-delayed arrival in December, SZA wasn’t quite ready to close the chapter. She previously hinted at plans to drop even more music before the year’s end and expressed a desire to refine some final mixes — suggesting that SOS may continue to evolve.
“It’s been so unique, this experience. Because really, I wasn’t going to do a deluxe. There were just a bunch of songs that my fans kept asking about,” she shared in an interview with Apple Music.
With SZA’s star power lighting up both the Super Bowl stage and the music charts, it’s clear she’s far from done keeping fans on their toes.
