BANTAY, Ilocos Sur — Two pilot infrastructure projects worth more than P1 billion are being fast-tracked by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
This was learned from District Engr. Reynaldo Ablog, of the DPWH’s 1st engineering district, who said the Bypass road will pass through barangays Taleb, Tay-ac, Bantay, Arnap, Belen, Bungro, Gungogong, Poblacion East and San Ildefonso.
Engr. Ablog said the Bypass road has a total length of 10.975 kilometers.
“This is a DPWH Regional Office Multi-Year Program,” Ablog said.
Also, a P1.1-billion ambitious infrastructure project connecting Caoayan and Santa towns are also being fast-tracked by the DPWH.
In an interview, Ablog said that the island barangay of Tamurong, Caoayan-Rancho-Santa town road project that has an span of approximately 2.0 kilometers, is a project of the DPWH Regional Office Multi-Year Program.
The ambitious project is not easy to implement considering the big rivers traversing the road.
