Local chief executives across towns and cities in the Bicol Region have suspended in-person classes at all levels in both public and private schools due to the shear line-induced heavy rains on Friday, 7 February 2025.

Meanwhile, PAGASA has issued a heavy rainfall warning for the provinces of Albay, Sorsogon, Camarines Sur, and Masbate, warning of possible flooding and landslides in low-lying and mountainous areas.

Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are also affecting Catanduanes and Camarines Norte, particularly in Mercedes, Daet, Santa Elena, Capalonga, Labo, San Vicente, Basud, and San Lorenzo Ruiz, with rainfall expected to persist for the next two to three hours and potentially impact nearby areas.

Authorities advise residents to stay updated on weather advisories and take necessary precautions.
