Operatives of the Manila Police District arrested a wanted murder suspect — whom police tagged as the No. 4 most wanted person in the National Capital Region — on Monday in Tondo.
Police identified the accused as Michael Canete, a resident of Parola Compound. He was arrested at about 11:15 a.m. along Jacinto Street, Tondo, Manila.
His arrest was based on a warrant issued by Judge Maria Lourdes Estrada of Regional Trial Court Branch 39, Manila, for the crime of murder, dated 20 January 2025, with no bail recommended.
He is presently detained at the MPD detention facility pending the return of the warrant to the issuing court for the issuance of a commitment order to the Manila City Jail.
