The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has officially launched the PAGCOR Photography Contest 2025, marking its third year since the contest's revival in 2023. This year, the competition opens earlier than usual, beginning on 1 February 2025, fifteen days ahead of last year’s schedule. It is open to all Filipino amateur and professional photographers aged 16 and above.
The theme for this year’s contest is “Infrastructure for Economic Development,” focusing on capturing the vital role infrastructure plays in advancing the country’s progress. PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco emphasized the importance of infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, seaports, airports, water and flood control systems, power plants, green energy facilities, and digital connectivity in driving economic growth, fostering trade, creating jobs, and ensuring inclusive development nationwide.
Participants can submit their entries under three categories: Conventional, Mobile, and Drone. The Conventional Category will feature photos taken with digital cameras, while the Mobile Category includes images captured with smartphones, tablets, action cameras, and 360 cameras. The Drone Category will focus on aerial photos taken with drone-mounted cameras.
Eight grand winners will be selected across all categories. First-place winners in the Conventional Category will receive P100,000 in cash and a trophy, while winners in the Mobile and Drone Categories will each be awarded P50,000 and a trophy. Non-winning finalists in the Conventional Category will receive P35,000 each, while those in the Mobile and Drone Categories will receive P20,000 each.
The contest will accept entries from 1 February to 31 July 2025.
