The National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) recently received a service donation from SM Development Corp. (SMDC) — the first of its kind in the museum’s history.

The donated services include the repair and maintenance of the air conditioning system at the National Museum of Natural History, as well as marketing entitlements to promote the NMP’s mission of universal access over three years.

During the signing of the deed of donation, NMP deputy director-general for administration Ma. Rosenne M. Flores-Avila emphasized that the donation would significantly support the museum’s continued growth.

NMP director-general Jeremy Barns expressed his gratitude to SMDC, stating, “We at the National Museum look forward to maximizing this donation, and we hope to achieve the same level of operational excellence that SM is known for.”

Grace Evangeline M. Sta. Ana of SMDC also shared her appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to nation-building and make the arts more accessible to Filipinos.

Meanwhile, Joaquin L. San Agustin of SM Supermalls highlighted that this donation marks the beginning of future partnership opportunities between SMDC and the NMP.

The deed of donation was signed by DG Barns, DDGA Flores-Avila, Ms. Sta. Ana, Mr. San Agustin, Atty. Helene D. Go of SM Prime Holdings and Ms. Liza B. Silerio of SM Supermalls.
