Actress Shaina Magdayao took to Instagram to pay tribute to legendary actress Gloria Romero, sharing a precious memory from their time together on the set of the award-winning 2000 film Tanging Yaman.

In her Instagram Story, Magdayao posted a throwback photo with Romero, who played the role of "Loleng," the family matriarch, while Magdayao portrayed her granddaughter, "Carina."

“Rest in Peace my Lola Gloria. The woman who taught me to pray the rosary on the set of Tanging Yaman,” Magdayao wrote, reflecting on the life lessons she learned from Romero.

Magdayao also expressed her gratitude for Romero’s impact on her life, both on and off-screen.

“So blessed to have shared the screen with you po but most importantly, to have learned from such a gracious soul,” she wrote. “Salamat po for touching our lives with your beautiful presence.”

Gloria Romero passed away peacefully on Saturday, 25 January, at the age of 91.
