City-wide job fairs and free health programs await the residents of Caloocan City in celebration of its cityhood anniversary.

In line with the 63rd Caloocan Cityhood Anniversary on 16 February, various medical programs will be offered free of charge to the city's residents.

From 10 to 14 February, the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC) will provide medical procedures such as tooth extractions, cataract screenings, pap smears, breast examinations, prenatal checkups, uric acid testing, and cyst removal.

ECG testing, IUD insertions, mammograms, ultrasounds, surgeries, and blood-typing activities will be available at the Caloocan City North Medical Center, which recently received Level 1 status from the Department of Health (DOH). These services will run from 17 to 21 February.

Princess Garcia, Chief Public Information Officer of Caloocan City, shared that these services will be free for all residents, but noted that there are limited slots per medical service.

A community-based health service will also be held on 5 February, offering tests such as dental services, family planning services, and sexually transmitted disease (STD) screenings for residents.

Outstanding residents and groups who have made significant contributions to the city will receive notable awards during OCA Night on 16 February.

A city-wide job fair is scheduled to take place in North Caloocan on 20 February and in South Caloocan on 28 February.

Family Day events in both North and South Caloocan, as well as a "Kasalang Bayan" (mass wedding), will also be part of the city's celebration.

Caloocan City’s month-long celebration will kick off with a cityhood anniversary concert featuring OPM groups Parokya ni Edgar and 6cyclemind on Tuesday, 28 January, along 9th Street in Grace Park, near Caloocan City Hall South.

“We are also arranging free transportation for those coming from North,” Garcia said, addressing requests from North Caloocan residents for the concert to be held in their area.

The Chief Public Information Officer added that the city is striving to alternate concert venues between North and South Caloocan.
