Three Most Wanted Persons (MWPs), including the No. 4 District Level-MWP of the District Anti-Carnapping Unit, were arrested by Quezon City Police District (QCPD) operatives, authorities said Tuesday.
QCPD acting director Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the arrests were made by virtue of warrants of arrest.
DACU operatives arrested Jose Charlie Calipusan, listed as No. 4 District Level MWP, at 4:30 a.m. on 21 January in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Calipusan has outstanding warrants for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and frustrated murder.
Fairview Police Station arrested Aquiles Darusin, listed as No. 6 Station Level MWP, at 12:30 a.m. on 21 January in Quezon City. Darusin has a pending warrant for acts of lasciviousness.
Pasong Putik Police Station arrested Jhonito Gaona Trofeo Jr., listed as No. 1 Station Level MWP, at 7 p.m. on 20 January in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Trofeo has four outstanding warrants for qualified statutory rape.
Buslig said the respective courts of origin of the warrants will be notified regarding the arrests.
“This proves that the QCPD is serious in its campaign against criminality. With the help of our operatives and the community, we will ensure the safety of every citizen,” Buslig said.
