Laoag City — A man driving an Aqua Blue Mazda 3 was apprehended following a hot pursuit operation conducted by officers of the Laoag City Police Station. The chase began in Barangay 22, Laoag City, after the suspect, involved in a reported commotion, allegedly attempted to run over a responding police officer who was trying to pacify him.

The pursuit ended in Barangay 29, approximately two to three kilometers from the initial scene, where the suspect was forcefully removed from his vehicle after refusing to comply with lawful orders. A standoff ensued, drawing a significant response from the Provincial Mobile Force Company and Laoag City Police Station personnel.
