Philippine Science High School’s Main Campus just got a whole lot more relaxing.
A new Student Wellness Center, affectionately nicknamed “Josie’s Nook,” has opened its doors, offering a much-needed haven for students dealing with the pressures of demanding academic lives.
The center is the brainchild of the Pisay Class of ’98, a legacy project marking their 25th anniversary.
Recognizing that even the brightest minds need support for their mental well-being, the batch rallied their network to transform a run-down office space into a bright, welcoming retreat.
Since its opening on 9 January, it’s been a hit with students, who have been using the space to unwind with board games, get creative with arts and crafts, or simply take a breather.
“Josie’s Nook” is named in honor of Mrs. Josefina Yu, co-founder and matriarch of SEAOIL. The design emphasizes natural elements, calming colors, and adaptable spaces to create an environment conducive to relaxation and personal growth.
