Filipino singer-songwriter Maki is set to perform alongside BINI during the Philippine leg of their highly anticipated BINIverse World Tour.
The 25-year-old singer shared the exciting news on Instagram with a candid three-second clip featuring the nation’s girl group and the tour's official poster.
"Shux," he wrote in the caption.
BINI announced their first-ever world tour, BINIverse, in December. The tour will kick off at the Philippine Arena on 15 February, followed by shows in Singapore, Dubai, London, and the USA.
Maki, also known as Ralph William Datoon, is quickly becoming one of the most celebrated solo artists in the country. Known for his heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies, Maki has carved a niche in the local music scene. His breakout track, Dilaw, earned global recognition, becoming the third Filipino song to chart on Spotify’s global charts.
Speaking of global success, Maki’s collaborations and live performances have solidified his reputation as a rising solo artist. In October 2024, he performed as a guest at LANY’s concert at the Philippine Arena, further boosting his profile. This followed the release of his emotional single Namumula, which earned both critical and commercial acclaim.
Meanwhile, BINI — comprised of Aiah, Mikha, Gwen, Stacey, Colet, Jhoanna, Sheena, and Maloi — continues to soar. Their three-night sold-out Grand BINIverse shows in November at the Smart Araneta Coliseum featured veteran artists such as Regine Velasquez, Gary Valenciano, and comedian Vice Ganda.
BINI debuted in June 2021 with Born to Win, quickly establishing themselves as confident, empowered performers. Since then, they have steadily gained global recognition as one of the frontrunners in the P-pop wave. The group made history as the first Filipino act to perform at KCON 2024 in Los Angeles, one of the world’s largest K-pop festivals. They also won the Voices of Asia award at the Billboard K Power 100 in August and became the first Filipino act to win Best Asia Act at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards.
