Undefeated bantamweight Kenneth Llover, who needed just 60 seconds in knocking out his Japanese rival last month, could resurface in late-March to resume display his devastating ways again.
After dismantling Tulio Dekanarudo in Osaka last 15 December, Llover is being readied to return with a bang by his chief handler Gerru Peñalosa.
“The plan is for him to fight again in the last week of March if an attractive offer doesn’t come along,” said the two-time world champion.
Llover raised his win-loss record to 13-0 with eight knockouts following his destruction of Dekanrudo, who went down after absorbing a flurry of hard hits to the head.
Though he managed to get up, the referee decided that he was in no shape to continue as doing so would only jeopardize his well-being.
Llover is one of the country’s top prospects and Peñalosa has grand plans for the puncher who resides in General Trias, Cavite.
A southpaw like eight-division legend Manny Pacquiao, Llover, just 21, is trained by one-time world title challenger Jonathan Peñalosa.
Peñalosa, though mesmerized by Llover’s sensational win, believes the fighter needs to rack up a couple more fights that will go beyond the first round to make him even tougher.
