Members of the Northern Police District - District Special Operations Unit (NPD-DSOU), with the coordination of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of Caloocan City Police, apprehended an alleged rapist in Barangay 169, Caloocan City, last Sunday, 5 January.
According to PSSG Honeybelle Data, the investigator in the case, she said that the 38-year-old suspect was arrested outside his home along T. Samson Road.
The arrested individual was identified as alias “Ryan,” who is implicated in multiple cases of rape and acts of lasciviousness, and is also ranked as the ninth most wanted person by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Data said that in one of the abuse incidents, “Ryan” raped a 17-year-old girl last 2022, who was sleeping at the time of the incident.
The police staff added that the apprehended suspect and the minor, who is also a resident of Caloocan City, were in a relationship at the time of the incident.
Alias “Ryan” was arrested by an arrest warrant issued by Judge Ma. Teresa De Guzman Alvarez of the Caloocan City RTC Branch 31.
Police surveillance since last November 2024 led to the successful arrest of the suspect.
He is facing charges in violation of Article 266-A, and Article 266-B of the Revised Penal Code and Republic Act No. 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
Articles 266-A and 266-B are not bailable, while a P200,000 bail is set for the RA 7610 case.
