Mober has partnered with BDO Unibank to secure financing for 60 new electric vehicle (EV) trucks. This deal, the first of its kind in the Philippines, boosts Mober’s EV fleet to 110 units, moving closer to its target of 240 by early 2025.

“This is a historic milestone not just for Mober but for the entire logistics industry in the Philippines,” Dennis Ng, Mober’s CEO, said. “With the addition of these 60 EV trucks, our fleet now stands at 110 units, bringing us closer to our goal of 240 units by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Supported by our proprietary Battery Management System (BMS) and Transport Management System (TMS), we’re ensuring not only sustainability but also efficiency and reliability for our clients.”

Mober’s BMS ensures real-time battery monitoring for predictive maintenance, while its TMS optimizes delivery routes to cut emissions and energy consumption. Clients such as IKEA, Nestlé, and Starbucks benefit from these innovations.

BDO underscored its commitment to sustainable growth. “We remain committed to supporting eco-friendly initiatives and innovative businesses that nurture the environment and present opportunities for economic growth,” Charles M. Rodriguez, BDO executive vice president, said.

Last year, Mober secured $6 million from Clime Capital to advance clean energy solutions. Clime Capital’s Rachel Santiago-Sacro highlighted the importance of decarbonization, noting, “By supporting clean-energy pioneers like Mober, we make a meaningful contribution toward rapid decarbonization in Southeast Asia.”

To support its growing fleet, Mober will launch Southeast Asia’s largest EV charging hub in Pasay City in January 2025.
