MOBER GOES BIG

Mober, a local logistics company here in the Philippines, just opened the biggest commercial EV charging hub we’ve seen so far. Located along D. Macapagal Avenue in Pasay City, this new charging station, called Central Charge, covers a huge 3,000-square-meter area and can charge up to 56 electric vehicles at once.
The new hub isn’t your typical public charging station. It’s specifically built to keep Mober’s fleet of electric trucks and vans running smoothly. With a setup that allows for three charging shifts a day, it can handle around 200 electric vehicles daily which means less downtime and fewer delays for deliveries.
What makes Central Charge special is how it caters specifically to logistics needs. It has 50 chargers with 7kW DC capacity each, and two faster chargers capable of delivering 60kWh. That would make their vehicles get charged quickly and efficiently.

The location was carefully chosen, too. Being close to Metro Manila’s main commercial districts makes it easier for companies like IKEA, Nestlé Philippines, and Maersk to have their deliveries done promptly without interruption.
Mober’s founder, Dennis Ng, highlighted the importance of the project, saying they’ve been tackling challenges related to electric vehicle infrastructure since they first switched to EVs back in 2021. For Ng, this new hub is a bold move towards moving the Philippines closer to cleaner, more sustainable logistics.
This new facility is actually Mober’s second charging hub. Their first was opened on Zamora Street, Pasay City, last year, but it was smaller, with only 800 square meters and 30 chargers.
