DAVAO CITY — Paolo Tancontian retained his post as president of the Pilipinas Sambo Federation Inc. following its election of officers last 21 December at the Hotel Galleria here.
Tancontian expressed gratitude to the trust and support given to him by the stakeholders, saying that he will do his best to serve them until 2028.
“I am honored to have been reelected as president of the Philippine Sambo Federation,” Tancontian said in a statement.
“I extend my deepest appreciation to all our members for their unwavering support and belief in our shared vision: to elevate and expand the reach of Sambo within the Philippines. Together with our newly elected officers, we are committed to surpassing our previous accomplishments and driving Sambo to even greater heights. We will work tirelessly to ensure its continued growth and success.”
Joining Tancontian in the executive board are James Leetong (first vice president), Roselyn Dayanan (second vice president), Janet Sy (secretary general), Rhea Mae Relampagos (treasurer) and board members Ralph Yee and Rover Magdale.
Meanwhile, the board of commissioners are Jonna Mae Cabasan (Women in Sports), Dr. Rover Magdale (Medical and Doping), Chino Sy (Athlete), Atty. Erika Aira Peralta (Legal), Sydney Sy (Technical), Ace Larida (Differently Abled), Roselyn Dayanan (Ethics and Disciplinary), Jerry Legaspi (Sport and Active Society), Gerard Arce (Commission for Sambo Development in Universities and Schools) and Ferdinand Galido (Marketing and Media).
